Welcome to The North London Adoption Consortium.

The North London Adoption Consortium is a partnership of five local authority adoption agencies; Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington and two voluntary adoption agencies; Parents for Children and Norwood who have chosen to work together to provide the very best possible service for children waiting to be adopted and for those wanting to adopt. Our primary aim is to meet the needs of our children waiting to be adopted. In finding the most suitable and loving homes for children we provide a professional and complete service for people who are hoping to adopt.

As part of our adoption services, we offer a "welcome home" kit repleat with goodies for the newly adopted child and his/her new family. One of the more popular items has been the first Christmas ornament that can also be personalized with your child's name. A lot of private accommodation agencies are used to provide houses for children when they are between families and waiting to be fostered or adopted. Working in partnership means we are able to offer a greater range of choice for children and adopters. By sharing information about waiting children and approved adopters it enables us to find new homes for children more effectively.

Our joint approach enables us to offer a comprehensive range of training opportunities for potential adopters as well as securing specialist staff training. This allows us to be at the forefront of our field and so creating more choice for all those whose lives are affected by adoption.
